What you say is probably true. But think about it, if they release killzone 2 BEFORE resistance 2, it MIGHT make resistance 2 smell like a let down.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not taking ANYTHING away from resistance 2, but Killzone 2 might be a genre defining game. So it is a good idea to have resistance 2 come out first

But honestly, does it make THAT much of a difference? The ps2 is still a relevant console and still in production. Also, when you buy a next-gen system, do you buy it to play last-gen games? If you do, then you were better off sticking with ps2 from the start.
So them taking away backward capability for the 80gb isn't all that big a deal to me personally. I have the 60gb version myseld and have yet to play a ps2 game on it
But I must admit it's fun to see everyone argue when they see vgchartz numbers. Even funnier that they KNOW vgchartz numbers are dang near 100% false but they STILL argue anyway

Are they supposed to allow a developer put a game on their system that has MS achievements for 360 WITHOUT having trophy support for the ps3? HELL NO
Why should they say "oh sure, you can disadvantage us if you want."
That's all well and good for the older games to not have trophy support. But that shouldn't cut it now that trophies are available
No question making the game multi platform IS a blow. I don't dare question that.
However, FF isn't a big system seller in America. It will sell many copies yeah. But even if this game was still sony exclusive it wouldn't sell that many more systems in America. And the main reason ff13 won't be a system seller in America is because America doesn't take to Japanese RPG games well.

I never said Killzone would revolutionize the fps. That will be hard to do with call of duty around.
